The Blend

What's in the glass, and why.

Milla Cala 2022 narrates the essence of its terroir in four chapters. Cabernet Sauvignon at 66% builds the firm structure and brings red fruits with velvety tannins. Carmenere at 23% intensifies the character with blackberries and plums. Merlot softens and adds fluidity, while Syrah closes with floral notes of lavender and violet fused with dried fruits.

Terroir

Where the ground does the work.

Milla Cala 2022 is grown in the Cachapoal Valley on deep, porous decomposed granitic soils with natural drainage. A temperate Mediterranean climate moderated by marine influence gives each of the four varieties its full voice in the blend.

Barroir

How time shapes the wine.

Milla Cala 2022 was aged for 18 months in French oak Barroir barrels, toasted with oak from the property itself. The estate's own wood ties the blend's four voices together and keeps the wine's origin present through aging.

Vintage

What the year gave.

The cold 2022 season asked patience of all four varieties, and each answered. The slower ripening preserved freshness across the blend, giving the vintage its vibrant acidity and long, elegant close.

Pairings

What to put beside it.

The estate's own pairing sets the tone: foie gras agnolotti and mature cheeses. Milla Cala 2022 also belongs beside roast chicken with herbs, grilled salmon for the pescatarians at the table, and any dinner where four varieties deserve four courses.
