The Blend

What's in the glass, and why.

A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Carmenere and 3% Syrah, Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is the estate's Cabernet made for the table. The Carmenere rounds the Cabernet's frame and the Syrah adds a quiet spice, keeping the wine generous without losing its precision.

Terroir

Where the ground does the work.

Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is grown in Millahue in the Cachapoal Valley, on deep, porous decomposed granitic soil with natural drainage. VIK's terroir spans twelve valleys, each with its own micro-climate, cooled by Pacific coastal breezes, the Humboldt Current, and winds from high in the Andes.

Barroir

How time shapes the wine.

Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, long enough to knit the tannins and add a fine toast, short enough to keep the fruit forward and the wine ready for tonight's table.

Vintage

What the year gave.

The 2023 season in Millahue produced a Cabernet of tension and dynamism, with the lively acidity and fine tannins that earned it 93 points and a Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters Gold in its first year of review.
