Omega Natural 2024 is the estate's zero-intervention Cabernet Sauvignon, made under VIK's philosophy of Circular Enology and left to express Millahue without correction.

Fermentation was spontaneous, guided by native yeasts gathered from wild spring flowers, and the wine rested in vessels made from the estate's own clay before 18 months in barrels of fallen oak from VIK's native woods. Deep bluish-red, with wild strawberries over exotic spice and black pepper. Fine, rounded tannins carry real energy, framed by a bright, precise acidity that lingers on a long, elegant finish.

Awarded 92 points by James Suckling.

The Blend

What's in the glass, and why.

Omega Natural 2024 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with no blending partners to round or soften it. Made with zero intervention under VIK's Circular Enology, it leans on fine, rounded tannins and bright acidity to stay generous and exact at the same time.

Terroir

Where the ground does the work.

Omega Natural 2024 is grown in Millahue in the Cachapoal Valley, on deep, porous decomposed granitic soil with natural drainage, and made without correction so that soil shows through in the glass. VIK's terroir spans twelve valleys, each with its own micro-climate, cooled by Pacific coastal breezes, the Humboldt Current, and winds from high in the Andes.

Barroir

How time shapes the wine.

Omega Natural 2024 rested first in vessels made from the estate's own clay, which allow a gentle, natural micro-oxygenation, and then spent 18 months in barrels crafted from fallen oak collected in VIK's native woods. The wood was never cut for the wine, and the wine was never adjusted for the wood.

Vintage

What the year gave.

The 2024 season in Millahue gave a Cabernet of purity and energy. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and left uncorrected, the vintage shows wild strawberry fruit over black pepper, with a bright, precise acidity that earned it 92 points from James Suckling.

Pairings

What to put beside it.

Omega Natural 2024 is a wine for the table with nothing added and nothing taken away. Its bright acidity and fine tannins sit well beside roast lamb, grilled vegetables, mushroom dishes, and a board of cured meats. Serve it slightly cool and let it open in the glass.
